It's been a while since Rachel and I last visited Amsterdam but we are planning to go back as soon as we can. We asked some local friends for recommendations of places to enjoy a coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. These were their suggestions for Amsterdam.
Back To Black is tucked away in the picturesque Weteringkwartier, on the edge of the historic canal area. The barista-crew of this female-led enterprise is trained by a champion barista, who has also developed her own line of organic tea. Their home-made apple pie is the best in town!
Coffee & Coconuts is a large cafe and coffee roastery housed in a beautiful Art deco building, situated in the happening De Pijp district, near the Albert Cuyp market. Their kitchen is known for its wholesome food, much of it organic and locally sourced. We hear their cold coconut coffee, with a shot of agave, is the caffeine shot for a hot day.
Coffee Concepts is also tucked away, in the posh Oud Zuid area. They serve great coffee though and, most importantly, they are right next to the Vondelpark, the largest park in the centre of Amsterdam. So, you can get your fix at Coffee Concepts and enjoy is while enjoying it strolling in the park or sitting on a park bench.
Do you know great places to get a coffee in Amsterdam? Which one is your favourite? Let us know and we will get in touch with them to get them to stock Nobó as well, so you can enjoy our delicious creamy choc with your hot brew.
